With more than 30 years in the financial industry in Austin, Texas, Edward Solter serves as the area manager of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, a provider of FHA and VA loans and adjustable and fixed-rate mortgages. Edward Solter’s responsibilities include hiring and evaluating personnel and staying current with state and federal regulations.
Previously, Mr. Solter was the president of Presidential Mortgage Company, where he generated more than $1 billion in loans, handled marketing, and ensured the accuracy of all transactions. At the same time, he founded Franklin Bank, first serving on its board of directors and later as an advisory director until the sale of the bank in 2003. In addition, Mr. Solter was the vice president of retail production for Commonwealth-United Mortgage, where he oversaw branch operations and supervised eight loan officers. He was also the senior loan officer for Home Trust Company.
Edward Solter has won many accolades, such as a place in Fairway’s Chairman’s Club for 14 years and its President’s Club for one year. While with Presidential Mortgage he was named the city’s number one loan officer by the Austin Business Journal, and the Scotsman’s Guide ranked him in the top 1 percent of originators.
